Opportunity Description:

Halifax Meals on Wheels invites volunteers to join us delivering meals to the homes of clients for the short or long term.  Our volunteers don’t just deliver meals. They also deliver a smile and a personal connection to our clients. We need both drivers and helpers to accomplish delivery.  You do not have to own a car, or even know how to drive, in order to volunteer.  A team of two volunteers makes the deliveries, typically from 10:30-12:30pm, Monday to Friday, including holidays. Another volunteer opportunity is to help pack the meals for delivery at our office at 321 Main Ave in Halifax 9-10am Monday to Friday.  How much time you can spare for this valuable work is up to you. Even two hours a week for a short term can make a huge difference in the lives of our clients.
