The Grant Writer is responsible for finding funding opportunities for the organization and writing polished proposals to earn grant money.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   Organizational understanding- You gain an in-depth knowledge of Latispánica’s history, mission, structure, programs, and financial needs in every organizational area. You research and identify grants opportunities from both government and non-government agencies. Proposal development- You draft grant proposals and supporting documents tailored to meet the funding requirements of Latispánica. You submit proposals to the grant coordinator for approval. Communication- You manage queries regarding drafted and submitted proposals, both internally and externally. You maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other key stakeholders. You maintain accurate records and submit reports related to grant opportunities. You track Latispánica’s compliance with Grants requirements. You promote motivation within your Team.    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS A one-year commitment to the role is required. Hours of volunteer work averages 8 hours a week from home. Proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset. Discretion- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information. Grant writing experience, preferably with a community organization focus, is considered an asset. Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Motivated initiative-taker with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
