Opportunity Description:

Out of the Cold Halifax is a community-based, volunteer-run emergency winter shelter.  Once again this season, we are preparing to support those in the HRM who are homeless and precariously housed and your support as volunteers is key. Frontline volunteers work directly with guests of the shelter and drop-in space.   Tasks include serving food, staffing the donation room, intake, and interacting with guests to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment.  Volunteers are supported by a team, including paid staff and experienced volunteers.
