Opportunity Description:

Elderdog Canada Halifax PAWD is seeking volunteer applicants for its foster home program.  As a foster parent, you will provide a safe and caring home for senior dogs that may arrive at our program needing temporary shelter while their senior owner is ill or in hospital.  Elderdog provides support with care requirements (e.g. vet, food, etc).  You must be comfortable caring for an older dog and live within an hour of HRM.  All new foster parent volunteers have to complete an Elderdog Canada application, and a vulnerable persons sector check.  When approved you will be placed on a waiting list until a foster placement is required.  For more information, please email elderdog.hfxpawd1@gmail.com
