Opportunity Description:

We are excited to announce that the 10th North American Conference on Spirituality and Social Work Conference will be hosted at Dalhousie University located in Kjipuktuk, Mi’kma’ki (Halifax, Nova Scotia). The conference will run from June 22-24, 2023. The conference is hosted by the Canadian Society for Spirituality and Social Work. It is co-sponsored by the Society for Spirituality and Social Work (USA) and the Dalhousie School of Social Work. The conference theme is The Spirit in Social Work: Toward Ecospirituality and Holistic Sustainable Social Work Practice.   All volunteers will be guaranteed free admission to the conference! We require volunteers residing in the Halifax Regional Municipality, or Atlantic Canada, to support with on-the-ground conference planning. Volunteers living all across the country are welcome to join our team too! Bi-weekly Meetings Begin September 2022. Meetings will be weekly during the months leading to the conference. We do not expect all volunteers to attend every single meeting, we just ask that you show up and contribute to the conference planning whenever you can do so! All support is greatly appreciated. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
