The Canadian Red Cross Society, a non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to helping Canadians, as well as the most vulnerable throughout the world, is seeking an Equipment Cleaning and Maintenance volunteer for the Community Health department. Reporting to the Service Centre Coordinator this position will clean, maintain and preform basic repairs of Red Cross HELP equipment. Key Responsibilities Ensures that returned equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized. Performs basic maintenance on equipment Performs basic repairs as needed Understands and follows policies and procedures as per Community Health requirements Completes required Orientation and Training Qualifications Education and Experience: Previous maintenance and repair experience Clear Police Record Standard First Aid Certificate (Training provided) WHMIS Training (Training provided) Abilities and Skills Understanding and adherence to the CRC principles and values. Strong Customer service skills Strong mechanical skills Physically able to accomplish the tasks required Assets (not required, not assessed, but desired) Previous experience working with the repair and maintenance of health equipment would be an asset. This position requires a successful Canadian Police Record Check. The Canadian Red Cross Society is an equal opportunity employer.
