About US Altruistic Current (ALTC) is an incorporated not-for-profit society designed to inspire kind and altruistic actions through art, education, promotion, and community-led initiatives. We have been spreading kindness across Canada and we want you to join us! Job description Would you like to make a difference in your community? Do you have a desire to inspire kind and altruistic actions? ALTC is seeking individuals with the right mix of passion, skills, and ability to join our Board of Directors. Kindness is contagious, and you can help spread it! The Board is dedicated to ensuring the mission of the organization is being upheld, the programs and services are responsive to community need, and that the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and fiduciary responsibility are upheld. Board meetings are held remotely approximately 3 times per year with a requirement to participate in one event/project subcommittee of your choice throughout the year. Directors serve on a volunteer basis and are appointed for a 3-Year term which is renewable. At this time ALTC is recruiting the talent of individuals with a skill set in Finance and or Business Development/Social Venture, Social Impact, and or Diversity and Inclusion. Individuals interested in this leadership role desire to assist ALTC in its continued journey to grow and excel in inspiring kind and altruistic actions through art, education, promotion, and community-led initiatives.
