The Disaster Animal Response Team of Nova Scotia, founded in 2008, is a registered charity, that sets up and runs emergency shelters for pets in times of disaster. We are 100 % volunteer based, and welcome new members. Our organization also promotes emergency preparedness for pets and the importance of being prepared in case a disaster strikes in your area. Our Life Meters for Pets is part of a public education tool to raise awareness about the dangers of leaving pets in hot cars. Disaster Animal Response Team of Nova Scotia’s Volunteer Opportunities

Growth of the soul is our goal, and there are many ways to encourage that growth, such as through love, nature, healing our wounds, forgiveness, and service. The soul grows well when giving and receiving love. I nourish my soul daily by loving others and being vulnerable to their love. Love is, after all, a verb, an action word, not a noun.
