This course will help you prepare for the Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) academic communication competition. In a series of three two-hour sessions you will work on the content and delivery of your 3MT presentation with a special emphasis on the linguistic challenges for grad students whose first language is not English. The topics you will focus on include improving the accuracy of your grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, developing fluency, and improving your overall presentation skills. Lots of instructor guidance and feedback will be given and a certificate of completion will be issued for those who attend all three sessions.
