Sibelius’ Violin Concerto is a magnificent showpiece, full of dizzying excitement and technical fireworks. And Giora Schmidt is a star virtuoso violinist, whose previous sold-out appearances with Symphony Nova Scotia earned him critical accolades and enthusiastic standing ovations. Now, on the 150th anniversary of Sibelius’ birth, Giora makes a triumphant return to perform one of the most spectacular violin works of all time.
