Are you a Dalhousie Student? Are you interested in mental health resources on campus? Are you passionate about improving mental health initiatives at Dalhousie? Are you interested in mental health resources on campus? The PROsocial Project is looking for Volunteers of all genders for the 2016-2017 academic year! The PROsocial Project is a student-led initiative to improve knowledge about mental health resources and substance misuse on campus using harm-reduction based methods. We provide information on the resources at-risk students can use to improve their own mental health but also the mental health of their peers – hence the use of the word “prosocial” in our name. If you can answer yes to any of the following questions then this opportunity is for you: Do you have an interest in psychology research? Do you enjoy having a strong presence on social media? Do you enjoy organizing fundraising projects? Do you enjoy organizing events for student groups (like societies)? Do you possess experience in on-campus society event planning? Your role will include: Organizational tasks Administrative tasks Assisting with programming, planning, and volunteerism, or with social media, growth, and fundraising You must: Be a Dalhousie students in good academic standing Have strong organization skills Be passionate about improving mental health on campus Be flexible with your schedule Be able to communicate with fellow students and organization members in a kind, clear, and timely fashion This position is commitment-based employment. We fully expect applicants to commit at least a school year (Sept-April) of their time to this position. If this is not possible, then please reconsider applying.
